Historic public square beside Selimiye Mosque in the walled city of Nicosia, used for open-air concerts and festivals.

Selimiye Square is the paved square in front of Selimiye Mosque, the former Gothic Cathedral of St Sophia, in the heart of the walled city of Nicosia (Lefkoşa Suriçi). Surrounded by historic stone buildings and close to the Bedesten and the old bazaar streets, it is regularly used by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality for open-air concerts, festivals and public events.
